Algorithm of radiological examinations in the diagnostics of colonic atresia

Colonic atresia is a rare form of intestinal atresia. During the period 1986 - 1991, three newborns with atresia of transverse colon, type III, were diagnosed, and treated surgically. The authors suggest the algorithm of examinations and discuss radiological methods in preoperative treatment of patients and in postoperative course as well as possible complications.
