Application of Box-Behnken design in properties modelling of concrete with crushed brick and roof tile
The paper presents Box-Behnken experiment design used for concrete mixtures made with crushed brick and tile as the aggregate. The design is used in order to decrease the extent of research without a risk of significant reduction of result accuracy. Parameters chosen for the design were water/cement ratio and typical concrete components, including cement, additives, and three types of aggregate. Sixty two different concrete mixtures with crushed brick and roof tile were made based on Box-Behnken design and experimentally tested. Properties of concrete are modelled as second-order functions using the response surface method based on the mixtures tested in their fresh and hardened state.
