The old shares security graphics applied to the new security documents

This work analyses the old security document design methods, comparing them with today’s solutions. The old security samples were chosen for their uniqueness and beauty. Analysing the old and new shares will show the design similarities as well as the graphics designers’ tendencies to create a unique and inimitable product. The modern design is developed by computer techniques imitating the handcraft in many parts. The decorative techniques and the security lines design shows that the designing process of the security documents was always in the hands of the artists.
