Analiza čvrstoće koljenastog vratila korištenjem faktora sigurnosti dobivenih pomoću dinamičkih naprezanja

This report is a result of diploma work made for getting a mechanical engineering master degree title. Work was made on Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Slavonski Brod, with the support of AVL – AST d.o.o. Zagreb team, as a part of AVL – AST University Partnership Program. Time needed to complete tasks of this work was six months. Main target of this work was to check and to determine the workflow for getting the comparison factors (CFs) from unit stress tensors components. The idea of this method is to get CFs for the most critical fillets on webs fast and accurate, without need to run dynamic multi-body system simulation (MBS) and detailed 3D fatigue evaluation on FEM models. This is very important in early stage of crankshaft design where a large number of possible fillet designs are available and have to be checked. Method presented in next chapter is determined using the EXCITE Power Unit (PU) 102_I4_Demo template, which is a model of an inline 4 cylinder diesel engine. Fillet shape was modified in Fillet Modeler, and for determination of method workflow fillet shape was a simple radius. First the EXCITE PU analysis was done, and safety factors (SFs) were evaluated using the EXCITE Fatigue/fe- safe software. These values have been used as a reference for comparison of CFs results derived from a new unit stresses based method. It was very important that the CFs ratio between webs from new method follows the ratio from these results for webs crank pin (CP) fillets and main journal (MJ) fillets
