Projecting Philosophically Based Business: Case Study Approach
Under the title “Projecting Philosophically Based Business: Case-Study Approach” author wants to argue about distinguish and relatively new ways of understanding the nature of business conduction throughout local community analysis of welfare economy based on education, knowledge, cultural and business tourism policy. The author’s main thesis is that economic policy of state marked by strong political and economical metamorphoses came as consequences of both historic and social changes in the last two decades can be revived throughout rehabilitation of local state communities build on knowledge and education (e.g. Zaprešić county project with its West Gate project). The idea for this elaboration came out as highlights to author’s both personal and professional experience in the field of business and economy oriented towards building ‘collective happiness’. The main theme author wants to discuss herein is the role and significance of Aristotelian concept of happiness in building welfare based local economy: historic city Zaprešić project development. The content of this elaboration covers the following problems concerns both theoretical and practical level of an issue: 1) project development of historic city Zaprešić (political aspect) – homeland of Croatian philosopher Nikola Skledar (philosophical aspect) ; the region widely known as the biggest shopping-place in Croatia: West Gate (trade-market aspect) ; multilingual and multicultural region (cultural aspect) ; the region of the great interests of foreign investors (economic aspect) ; the region of distinguished geomorphologic structure (geographic aspect) etc. As the self-conscious being, since the beginning of history of mankind, man has shown how great visionary he or she can be ; how great man (in each sense of this word) he or she can become. This elaboration is a result of shared work and cooperation with young people – students of Applied Sciences in Economy who are eager in education – especially philosophically based one.
