EVALUATION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS IN A DENTIST'S WORK PLACE
We have measured the AC electromagnetic fields in the environment of dental equipment and apparatuses by the use of the sensitive Hall probe developed in our laboratory. The equipment consists of two amplification stages and the stage for filtration of low frequency AC and DC signals which result from electric supply connections and traffic in the suburb. The highest frequency we paid attention for was 100 kHz and the ultimate sensitivity achieved in these measurements is 0.0001 mT, which in turn means that measurements are extended down to the level of fluctuating residual AC electromagnetic fields of Earth and Sun. The mesurements indicate the comparatively strong pradiation sources in old dated equipement as compared to up to date delivered devices and apparatuses. We conclude that some equipment emits the AC electromagnetic field up to 100 Gauss (10 mT) with strong decay as dependent on distance from the source:
