Sažetak
Economicall exploitable wind energy potentials on the coast and islands of Croatia are estimated by means of the CRO-EOL expert system. The methodology of the expert system allows for the selection of the optimal wind turbine (WTG) locations and the optimal commercially available wind turbines as well. WTG electric energy production is predicted on the selected locations for the selected WTG. The simulation of WTG operation is based on the long term wind data provided by the Croatian National Hydrometeorological Service (NHMS). The electric energy production on these locations is predicted for WTG of various sizes, i.e. unit power outputs (250, 500, 750 kW).
