Identification of Relevant Technical and Technological Elements of the Railway Transport System
As a system, railway is composed of a large set of technical, technological and organizational elements that together represent certain subsystems with specific structure, processes and management. The objective of their joint action is faster, regular, safe and maximally affordable transport. By applying the method of decomposition in describing the railway traffic system, one may notice four basic strata: technical, technological, information-management and economic. Finally, railway traffic can be understood as a non-linear cybernetic system of higher order, composed of a number of its subsystems where the realization of individual objectives leads to the common objective of the system.
