Sažetak
In today's business environment learning is considered as one of the main sources of competitive advantage. Bearing in mind that learning in organizations greatly depends on context in which individuals and groups perform their everyday activities, the characteristics of mentioned learning context, especially its complexity, ranging between chaos and entropy, is crucial influencing factor on organizational learning occurrence and progress. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to examine the role of learning context complexity in achieving organization’s desired outcomes such as organizational learning, organizational innovativeness and non-financial and financial performances. In identifying the optimal level of learning context complexity in relation to above noted outcomes, the empirical research on the sample of 34 Croatian manufacturing companies was conducted during the last quarter of year 2010, results of which are indicating surprising results, such as that higher level of learning context complexity leads to higher levels of organizational learning, organizational innovativeness and non-financial performances.
