Signal Processing in Software Defined Receivers
This work considers algorithms for digital signal processing in software defined receivers and their efficient implementation on field programmable gate arrays (FPGA). Optimal implementation of the entire software defined receiver on a single FPGA device is described, with minimal analog front-end. A method for generating colored noise by filtering of the white noise is described with application in mitigation of undesired effects caused by nonlinearities in an analog to digital converter . Furthermore, an architecture of soft-core processor suitable for the implementation of inner receiver for the reception of OFDM signal is considered.
