The effect of land reclamation measures on Ca:Mg ratio in stagnosols
This paper presents the effect of land reclamation measures to Ca:Mg ratio in stagnosols after many years of exploitation. The research was conducted in Trebovljani, Gradiska municipality, Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Applied treatments were as follows: no-ameliorated soil (NAS), ameliorated soil under 9 years (AS9) and 13 years (AS13) old orchard. Amelioration was made by lime (30 t ha-1 of marl), manure (40 t ha- 1), 150 kg ha-1 of NPKMg mineral fertilizers (5N:20P2O5:20K2O:2MgO) and deep plowing to 50- 60 cm. Amelioration measures improved Ca:Mg ratios. The highest differences of C:Mg among three soil variants were found in two tested surface layers as follows: 2.11, 5.34 and 5.19 (depth 5-15 cm), 1.55, 5, 67 and 4.68 (depth 25-35 cm).
