Modeling the Devices’ Behaviour for Power Substation Control Using Object–oriented Framework and UML

For information modeling of the system, particularly the part that addresses the control system, it is necessary to analyze it from the static and dynamic viewpoint. In the object-oriented framework, combined with UML, it means creating class and object diagrams for modeling domain’s static structure and state, activity and interaction diagrams for modeling domain’s behavior. This paper deals with the basic methodology in modeling the power substation behavior, as well as the benefits that can be obtained form such models in the entire effort to achieve more efficient control system.
