Other’s people's: Social position of Jews and Roma minorities in the Croatia, 1918 – 1941.
Jews and Roma were two minority groups in Croatia before World War II, according to which state and local authorities carried out a repressive policy. One of the reasons for worsening position of Roma and Jews in Croatian lands was certainly negative (public) perception of them as always „ others” and always „foreign element”. Although there is a significant difference in social, economic and educational status, these two minority groups will find themselves in the front line pro-fascist government in the Independent State of Croatia. This will lead to their persecution and suffering in Second World War.
