The Principle of Subsidiarity's Impact on Division of Powers

The usage of the principle of subsidiarity has become very popular in last 30 years. Eventhough the principle has been known earlier, current debates in Council of Europe and European Union have launged it in the core of debates. It doesn't only resolve division of powers between different levels in a country, but it also has a prominent role in division of powers between European Union and member states. The article analyzes problems, questions, and uncertainties concerning principle of subsidiarity today.
