Sažetak
At the request of the Rolls Royce Marine AS Merchant Solutions the structural optimization and analysis of the general cargo carrier ship structure (project marked as P09-02705 NORLINE) was analyzed through the direct calculation using generic 3D FEM model of cargo area. FEM procedure follows Det Norske Veritas (DNV) ref. [1, 2 and 3]. MAESTRO structural design package has been used [4]. Objective of the presented report was: • To evaluate the structural scantlings in cargo area around 0.4L amidship (Fr.52 to Fr.112) ; • To investigate possibility of scantlings reduction through structural optimization process and to suggest minimum scantling requirement w.r.t structural strength (according to the DNV Rules [1, 2]) and stiffness (Client requirements w.r.t maximal deflection). Optimization was based on MAESTRO optimizer using dual formulation of SLP with special linearization techniques see Refs. [4, 6, 7]. • To investigate NAPA-MAESTRO-DeMak (optimizer) interfaces for further improvements for the needs of the RRM designer.
