Significance of Securitization in Process of Financing Higher Education
Today, many countries in the world are facing with insufficient and inaccessible higher education funding. Those countries are looking for private capital to assist in financing higher education. According to that, capital market should take an active role in financing higher education. Securitization of student loans ensures, in normal circumstances, lot of benefits for students, financial intermediaries and all stakeholders. With that technique all participants should have benefits while motives and roles are different due to stakeholders. The focus of this paper is to summarize significance of securitization in the process of financing higher education. Also this paper will expose problems, current status and potentials of securitization of student loans.
