Analysis of Anthropometric Measurements and Body Proportions of Football (Soccer) Players and Untrained Group
Immediately upon completion of the national project "Croatian Anthropometric System" further continuous measurements have been undertaken within the scientific project entitled "Anthropometric Measurements and Adaptation of Garment Size System ". The anthropometric measurements include trained athletes in 5 types of sports, after a minimum of 3 years of continuous training. This paper describes one of these measurements and results. The primary goal of identified differences and body dimensions between the trained and untrained groups is to analyze body proportions in terms of two important segments, namely: a) body proportions as a prerequisite of success in any sport and b) as a basis for differences between the standard and modified design of clothing. This paper describes the processed body proportions of football (soccer) players compared with the untrained group of the same age.
