Regenerator influence on work and thermal efficiency of Stirling cycle
The experimental model of the Stirling engine, having a cylinder diameter of 83 mm and a power of 5 W at 180 r.p.m, according to Ericsson"s patent from 1880 was used for the investigation of the regenerator influence on thermodynamical efficiency. The results of the calculation and measurement confirm that regenerator does not only improve thermodynamical efficiency but increases the engine power as well.
