Evaluation of students' intercultural competence in compulsory teaching of German language – an empirical study
A significant role in achieving intercultural competence is often ascribed to foreign language teaching. This paper therefore explores the possibilities of intercultural competence evaluation in foreign language teaching in compulsory education in Croatia. An instrument studying knowledge, skills and abilities and attitudes was designed for the purposes of this research and was used to examine cognitive, affective and pragmatic aspects of intercultural competence while taking into account the cognitive-affective level of pupil development as well as the specificity of school environment.
