Sažetak
At the Department of Forensic Medicine and Criminology, School of Medicine, University of Zagreb, toxicological analyses have been performed over 43 people died in the traffic accidents. They were drivers, pedestrians or cyclists and they all died immediately or in a few hours after the road accident. At 21% of them there were found some of illicit or licit drugs that significantly impair capability for participation in the traffic. Despite of the small analyzed group, it is evidently that today is not enough to assay the blood alcohol concentration only, but it is necessary also to assay the biologic samples from all road traffic victims for drugs that impair capability for participation in the traffic.
