In 2007 came out new Food Law (Narodne novine 46/07) and Food Hygiene Regulation (Narodne novine 99/07). Informations supplied are for implementation of Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) system in all food companies. Institute of Public Health for the Osijek–Barany County has eighty year tradition in prevention and protection of human health. Since 1st January 2008 Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) team was systematize in Health Ecology Department with purpose of providing consultant services and sanitary - hygienic perfomance in food companies according to mandatory law and date regulations. The aim of implementation of Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) system is widely accepted food safety management in food companies for the Osijek–Baranya County. Institute of Public Health for the Osijek–Barany County covers area population 330506. Educated Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) team conduct consultant services in food companies with 7 Codex Principles. They also provide a service for clients in Institute of Public Health for the Osijek–bBaranya County in Osijek. Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) team work on betterment of quality and general sanitary – hygienic terms in food companies in Osijek–Baranya County. Final result is activity with mandatory law regulations and food safety. Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) team is multidisciplined team with experts in field of epidemiology, sanitary engineering, food technology and microbiology. Team is collaborating with other Sections in Health Ecology Department, Epidemiology Department and Desinfection, Dezinsection and Deratization Department. Institute of Public Health for the Osijek–Barany County with professional human resources in completely conforms for market challenges and in professionality of implementation of HACCP (Hazard analysis and critical control points) system.
