Thermopower of the YbIn1-xAgxCu4 alloys (x<=0.275)

We report results of thermopower measurements of YbIn1-xAgxCu4 alloys where x<=0.27 together with LuInCu4. The thermopower results are explained within two phase model with different characteristic temperatures. The thermopower measurements are supported by resistivity and ac-susceptibility measurements. We have found that the resistivity obeys R(T)= R(0) + aT^3 law in the low temperature phase, which we ascribe to the phonon scattering in the presence of strong s-d coupling. We observe a corresponding linear dependence of thermopower in YbIn_0.85Ag_0.15Cu_4 almost up to the transition temperature.
