Transport properties of the CexLa1-xCu2.05Si2 heavy fermion alloy system

We report results of electrical resistivity and thermopower measurements on the CexLa1-xCu2.05Si2 alloy system from 2 K to 300 K. It was shown that regardless of various concentration regimes the characteristic temperature behaves in accordance with the Anderson impurity model. We have found evidences of the crystal field contribution to the resistivity even for x < 0.10. We conclude that the crystal field scheme does not change with concentration up to x = 1. The thermopower data support such a conclusion. In the dilute region the disagreement from Fermi liquid behaviour increases with increasing dilution. The position of this alloy system within Doniachs diagram can give the explanation of this experimental fact. We also discuss the origin of the negative low temperature thermopower in the concentrated region.
