Among the most important programs are: the expanded program of immunization of children, the promotion of nutrition, especially breast-feeding, and the prevenetion of the most significant health problems in primary health care i.e. acute respiratory and diarrheal diseases in children (ARI/CDD). This research undertaken into the level of knowledge and attitudes of parents towards the nutrition and most common health problems of their children, had the aim of establishing the present situation in terms of the issues mentioned, and especially to establish the level of parents' health culture, i.e. their level of knowledge and their attitudes to the most frequent health problems in children. This survey produced the several general conclusiones and recommendations: 1. Conclusions and recommendations relating to child nutrition, 2. Conclusions relatin to Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI), 3. Conclusion and recommendations relating to Acute Diarrheal Diseases (ADD), 4. Immunization coverage of children 1-2 years old in the Republic of Croatia, 5. Conclusion on the influence of health visitors on the health care of children.
