Physical properties of bimetallic PdIn catalysts
The bulk physical properties of single-crystalline bimetallic PdIn catalysts have been investigated in correlation with previously studied PdGa [1]. Both compounds are promising for selective catalysis. The bulk is influencing the properties of the surface, so knowledge of the bulk properties of the material is important to connect catalytic properties of the surface to the structural and electronic properties of the bulk. For that purpose we have determined the magnetic susceptibility, electrical resistivity, thermoelectric power, Hall coefficient, thermal conductivity and the specific heat of single crystal of PdIn grown by the Czochralski technique. The results show that PdIn is also a diamagnet with metallic electrical resistivity and moderately high thermal conductivity. 1. M. Klanjšek, A. Gradišek, A. Kocjan, M. Bobnar, P. Jeglič, M.
