Varieties of British English and American English: semantic differences in the lexicon of politics

The thesis presents the theoretical and experimental bases for the analysis of semantic differences in the lexicon of politics in British and American English. The expressions are analysed in terms of sense relations between them, i.e. the differences on morphological, semantic and functional style level.
