Introduction to the RER/0/034 program and the Training Course on Dating of Cultural Heritage Artefacts using Nuclear Analytical Techniques

In the introductory lecture to the IAEA Regional Training Course on Dating of Cultural Heritage Artefacts using Nuclear Analytical Techniques the following topics are discussed: What is cultural heritage? What is archaeometry? What is the role of dating in the archaeometry? Description of regional technical cooperation projects RER/1/006, RER/8/015 and RER/0/034 is given, as well se description of Croatian groups participating in the projects. Finally, the description of the current training course is given.
