Pagans, Christians and Barbarians at the late Roman cemeteries of Štrbinci and Zmajevac (NE Croatia)

The evidence from Štrbinci and Zmajevac, two late Roman cemeteries from the wider area of the limes in northeastern Croatia, is discussed against the background of ethnic and cultural interactions between the provincial Romans and Barbarians of the area. The finds from the two cemeteries (grave constructions, grave goods and funerary rituals) are put into chronological, political-geographical and historical-cultural context, and the differences between them pinpointed and tentatively interpreted.
