Cartographic Perceptions of the Triplex Confinium and State Power Interests at the Beginning of the 18th Century
On the basis of an analysis of available cartographic records in Zagreb originating from the period 1700 - 1750, the paper present perceptions of the Triplex Confinium in different Habsburg, Venetian and Ottoman cartographic tratidions and the question of interdependencies between cartographic presentations in particular traditions and the dominant interests of particular state authorities in the Triplex confinium region. Attention is also paid to contributors of Croatian origins in the mapping of the Triplex Confinium, when comparing to those three imperial traditions.
