New method of creating technological pattern drafts for double-faced fabrics (double satin and posters)

The greatest problem in designing and producing pattern cards for double fabrics is how to draw figure outlines sharply or how to separate or emphasize a figure distinctly on the ground fabric. It is also a great problem how to construct appropriate double weaves for gradual or imperceptible shading surfaces of different pattern combinations or posters. Both problems can be solved by using a set of computer programs, omitting common, time-consuming manual interventions on cards or pattern drafts, only by using the mouse in the interface and after trial weaving. The effectiveness of the software of the program set solving both problems successfully is based on the theoretical legality that all weave effects of double fabrics have 4 crossing points (weave group) determining the color of the front and back side of the crossing point. A group of some different typical weave parts of the same or different size and differently arranged makes possible to achieve plenty of different dyed or textured effects in double fabrics. Such theoretical solution allows for weave processing the figured pattern draft without prior processing individual double weaves, so that the computer program does not insert strictly defined weaves into multicolored figures, but it inserts the corresponding weave group (4 crossing points) into each figured point. The designer visually selects an individual type of weave groups in the course of processing a figured pattern. Therefore the new method is not only rapid, but it is also very creative.
