School integration of children with intelectual disability in Croatia
On the grounds of teachers' important role in the inclusion of children with special needs in regular school, Croatian Association for the professional help to children with special needs and Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation, University of Zagreb initiated the project Evaluation of the programme Education of teachers for the acceptance of students with special needs. One of the project objective is the analysis of effect of teachers' education on behaviour of children with intellectual difficulties whose teachers have participated in education. The results show that the education of teachers influenced better self-perception of children with special needs regarding their behaviour at home.
