Sažetak
Computer simulation is, usually, a quantitative method used for solving the problems which realisation is dominantly stochastic. Problems with a discrete character are especially adjustable for simulations. Simulation includes different activities for which the observation should define parameters of a realistic problem situation of a system that should be modelled. Modelling includes measuring and/or registering the parameters which are entered in defined system’s model. Model of a system is a result of the conceptual design of a model/system developed upon theory of a system. Theory of system is formed upon historical facts of a system. However, though the simulation provides important information which cannot serve as a backup for managing and decision making, it doesn’t provide a concrete solution of a problem. This paper represents a simulation of ticket-offices for communal company Autotrolej PLC Rijeka, which has two ticket-offices in Rijeka. Autotrolej PLC Rijeka performs transportation on 43 routes of a total length 636 km by connecting 12 cities and municipalities with the County centre (City of Rijeka). It transports 35, 000, 000 passengers annually and accomplishes more than 10, 000, 000 km. Entry data for the preparation of a simulation/computer model are generated in offices of Autotrolej where the ticket-offices are located.
