Short cut impact of partly defoliation on must and wine quality of "Malvazije istarske"variyeti on the cordon
Malvazija Istarska is domesticated variety, which are mostly represented in viniculture of Istria sub-region. Malvazija Istarska with adequate technology in agriecological conditions of Istria gives high quality wine. In this paper are represented the first results of partly defoliation Malvazije Istarske in west-istrian vineyard area. Results of two years research showing that partly defoliation, before inflorescence of grape vine, in less insolating side of the crown improves must quality and decrease Phomopsis viticola on short cut cordons. Future examination will be oriented on selection of time period of partly defoliation (before inflorescence, after inflorescence and in a time of grape scribbling) with an aim of getting the must extraction, which is raw material with optimal features for production of high quality wine.
