Intracranial myopericytoma: a case reprot
Myopericytoma is recently described, rare and mostly benign soft tissue neoplasm showing perivascular myoid differentiation. Previously it was classified mostly as hemangiopericytoma or myofibroma. It generally involves the subcutaneous and superficial soft tissues of the extremities. Other locations are very uncommon and only four intracranial cases have been reported to date. Three of them were solitary and occured in immunocompetent patients, while one case was multifocal and associated with Epstein-barr virus in an HIV positive patient. We present a new case of intracranial myopericytoma in a 38-year-old-man.
