Testing of the emulsion and anfo explosives – comparation of laboratory and “in situ” results

This work is a discussion on the impact of blasting style, the type of explosive and the energy of ignition on the efficiency of blasting. Experiments were carried out in the laboratory utilising charge made of emulsion and ANFO explosives. “In situ” experiments were carried out on the construction-sites and quarries. Testing the efficiencies of emulsion and ANFO explosives there has been applied the original method for linear enlargement of burden. The trial blasting has been carried out under real conditions whereas the physical-mechanical rock features, geological conditions, bed and rock structure influence the blast efficiences.
