Logistics in the function to optimize operations in department of food and beverages
This paper examines logistics as a factor in optimizing business processes in the department of food and drinks at the hotel. Logistics is, in fact, regarded as a regulator of the logistics processes within the hotel subsystems of food and beverage, and as a coordinator of all knowledge and all activities of management that occur during the process of transformation from raw materials into edible form of concrete, which is served customers, hotel guests. Given the frequent changes of population diet trends, it is understandable that a logistics has a function of regulator in the flow of nutritional habits of guests and in food trends, from source to end user. Logistics aims to optimize the flexibility and adaptability of production and service processes in the department of food and beverages, which depends on the success of the business of this department and hotel facility as a whole.
