Rock Falls in Omiš and Duče Areas
In the periods after heavy rain and/or low temperatures in these areas there is a problem with sudden rock falls. Continuous observation and monitoring of cliffs and slopes in these areas are essential for solving the problem of existing danger. Determination of size and position of potentially unstable rock blocks are base data for planning of protection measures. One of possible monitoring method for proposed purpose is using lidar instrument. With periodical observation and monitoring of a potentially dangerous zones, it become possible to perceive unstable blocks. Comparison of two or more records in consequent periods, should be efficient base for such conclusions.
