Information Technology in Developing Countries - Bridges and Buffers of Market Globalization
Technological development, especially information technology and the Internet play a crucial role in modern marketing and all economic activities. Information technology can be considered as an important facilitator of business network design and catalyst for rearranging business relationships in the process of economic and social globalization that is not only affected by but is also affecting the production, distribution and transfer of technology. Developing countries depend heavily on the international diffusion of technology originally developed in the more industrialized countries, but there is a considerable disagreement in the gains they can derive from adopting and using that technology.
