Insulation Materials and Solutions as a Basis for Improvement of Health and Lifetime of Transformer

Insulation system is a very important part of transformer. It has strong influence on condition of transformer, and lifetime of solid insulation is regarded as lifetime of transformer. As cellulose and mineral oil age, it is very important to preserve these materials, or at least to have insight in the condition of insulation system, even during operation of transformer. This can be achieved combining three approaches, which are analyzed in the paper: using advanced insulation solutions, using premium insulation materials and using advanced online diagnosis solutions.
