Numerical Analysis of Hydrodynamic Pressures on 3D Rigid Structures
The paper presents the numerical model for the analysis of hydrodynamic pressures on spatial rigid structures. The fluid is considered as linear, viscous and compressible. The Eulerian formulation is used to define the fluid motion assuming small displacements. The pressure formulation for the fluid motion was adopted. Isoparametric finite element discretization with 20 and 27-node brick fluid elements is used. Explicit-implicit Newmarks time integration is employed to predict the hydrodynamic pressures change. The analysed example ilustrates the accuracy and some possible applications of the presented numerical model and the developed software.
