XML technology in a integration of publishing and printing
Modification that emerged in graphic systems due to digitalisation of major production phases are comprehensive and demand completly new organisational approaches. If we look at publishing and book production as its result, we can come to similar conclusions. Just Web environment that had become a standard for communication in these systems, also experience great daily expansion. While in 1991, in the Internet fledging, there was only 200 Internet servers, today there are almost 170 mil. in the world. In a few years time the number of Internet servers will be equal to the number of world's population. Communication itself through the Internet has also been developing. The Internet standard, HTML, that is the most used language of the Internet today, more and more gives its place to XML. XML, as a code system of communication, which connects different applain-ces, aplication systems and data bases because of their huge comparative advantages becomes, important innovation in graphic and publishing production.
