Interpreting Project Complexity - A Knowledge Based Approach

The goal of this research is to examine possibility of knowledge based approach for interpreting project complexity. Complexity in projects has so far been related to quantitative network complexity or qualitative studies that take into account institutional aspects of the organizational complexity. In this paper, authors indicate knowledge as appropriate level for drafting a holistic view of project complexity as well as recognizing two distinct phases of project complexity in a generic business model in construction industry. This work is merely a report of an ongoing research that tries to articulate theoretical construct that will be tested empirically in built environment projects
