NoSQL in Wireless Sensor data storage

Wireless sensor networks (WSN) are very popular nowadays as cornerstone for spatially distributed sensor communication platforms. Building the WSN out of hundreds or even thousands of nodes results in the large quantities of data with dynamic data schema characteristics that needs to be collected, processed and stored. Data diversity from collected sensors for very specific applications detects new problems of using generic storage techniques like relational database management systems. This paper presents alternative approach in the heterogeneous data storage based on the NoSQL movement that has been introduced lately with horizontal and vertical scalability in mind. By implementing the generic web framework for data acquisition and storage solution that includes NoSQL key/value storage represents concept of scalable data storage infrastructure that depicts needs for rapid development framework with WSN data requirements.
