New insights into improving the colour stability of thermally modified wood exposed to UV-light
Thermal modification of wood results in uniform, darker colour of wood, which often resemble the colour of exotic wood species. Unfortunately, the colour of thermally modified wood changes due to the influence of light, especially ultraviolet (UV) light, and we say that colour is not UV stable. This paper presents research results of new methods of stabilizing the colour of the modified wood exposed to UV light.
