Simulation in Testing Transport System Parameters Affecting Process Lead Time

The paper describes the effect of transport system parameters on rhe process lead time in the production system. A concept of a metamodel has been developed with the aim of providing the analysis of transport system parameters. Testing is performed by simulation runs on several production systems of similar characteristics, established according to group technology principle. the regression analysis has shoen a high degree of accuracy and reliability in the relation between the process lead time and selected relevant parameters.
