Minimum Wage as a Tool in the Fight against Poverty: Croatian Labour Law Perspective

In the introductory part authors provide some general information on wages and wage regulation in Croatia together with some statistical information. In the second part they give a review of legal history and current legal framework of minimum wage regulation. Some problems in application are being discussed (especially differing attitudes of social partners regarding adjustment mechanism). Provided are also some domestic and international comparisons (e.g. Kaitz index, Purchasing Power Standards etc.), relation to European Social Charter and ILO Convention 131, and finally suggestions for improvement in further regulation.
