Synthesis of N-1-sulfonyl-5-(1, 2, 3-triazol-4-yl)uracil Derivatives and Evaluation of Their Anticancer Activity

New 1, 4-disubstituted-1, 2, 3-triazoles were synthesized from corresponding alkyl halides, sodium azide and 5-ethynyluracil via a copper(I) catalyzed three-component reaction. The synthesis of N-1-sulfonyl-5-(1, 2, 3-triazol-4-yl)uracil derivatives was accomplished in the condensa-tion reaction with sulfonyl chlorides in the presence of DBU in DMF. Obtained derivatives were tested for their cytostatic activity.
