Anonymity, Responsability, and Credibility in the Internet
Anonymity in Internet (i. e. the hiding of the identity of the real author of a message) is often confused with a privacy (meaning that the right to privacy becomes interpreted as a right to anonymity). Author discerns those two phenomena by the criteria of the public communication space. He discusses different reasons for anonymity on the Internet, subduing them to the criteria of responsibility, both civil and social. Finally, reiterating the notion of credibility as condicio sine qua non for any decent journalism, author relates anonymity and credibility in Internet.
