Phonetics and phonology for students of English

This is a university textbook of phonetics and phonology. It is based on a contrastive approach and meant primarily for native speakers of Croatian who are studying English. However, it can also be used by graduate students as well as anyone making a thorough study of the subject. It covers topics such as speech production, segments of speech, phonemic systems, IPA sound and notation, connected speech, acoustic phonetics, generative phonology, prosodic phonology and recent trends in phonological theory.
