A Blended Learning Model for "Multimedia Systems" Course
This paper describes the e-learning model used in a course “Multimedia Systems, ” given at the University of Rijeka, Croatia. The course was taught in a blended way, combining self-paced learning, f2f classroom learning, and online learning supported by the Moodle learning management system. The paper describes the technology for, and the methodological approach to, course design and develop-ment, as well as the results of evaluation. A survey conducted in the end of the course showed that students were satisfied with the new blended learning ap-proach for the course. The quality of this course was also recognized by the e-learning experts: in the academic year 2010/2011 the “Multimedia systems” was chosen as the best e-course on the University being given the highest mark accord-ing to the four elements of a review.
